Professional Experience

Tânia has worked for the firm since July 2018, being responsible for the area of judicial sales.

She began her professional career as Legal Counsel in the Court of Conflicts of the Justices of the Peace of Sintra (2008) and in the Centre for Tax Studies of the Ministry of Finance (2010). She later worked at PMBGR - Trocado, Durães Rocha & Associados (2013-2014), António Frutuoso de Melo e Associados (2014-2016) and, more recently, at WhitestarAssets Solutions. She provided legal advice on credit recovery and insolvencies litigation, accompanying declaratory, enforcement and insolvency procedures in the pre-litigation and litigation stages, and the collection of credits from bank financing and credit insurances. At WhiteStarAssets she was part of the team responsible for renegotiating clients' claims and ensuring due diligence in the analysis of portfolios for purchase and due diligences for post-purchase put-back analysis.

Furthermore, Tânia has experience in general dispute resolution with a special focus on arbitration.

 

Academic Background

Law Degree (Faculty of Law of the Lisbon University, 2009). Professional Master’s Degree in Forensic Law Sciences (Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, 2013). Postgraduate Studies- Preparatory Course to Access the Career of Auditor of Justice (for access to the CEJ) (Faculty of Law of the Lusíada University of Lisbon, 2017).
